KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, in a meeting with Wang Zhicheng, Director General of the MCC company, has emphasized the need to the initiation of the practical work on the Mes Aynak copper project.
According to a statement from the Deputy PM office for Economic Affairs today, in the meeting, Mullah Baradar highlighted that the Islamic Emirate has provided significant facilities to advance the Mes Aynak copper project.
He also urged the MCC to address any issues hindering the progress of the project.
Meanwhile, Wang praised the efforts made by the Islamic Emirate to remove obstacles related to the Aynak project.
He assured that they would expedite the work on the project in coordination with the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum.
The Aynak copper mining project is one of the largest economic initiatives in the country, prioritized by the Islamic Emirate.
