TEHRAN: Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting Foreign Minister, stated that neighboring countries hold a special place in the Islamic Emirate’s balanced, economy-oriented policy.
Speaking at the Tehran Dialogue Forum, Muttaqi emphasized that the Islamic Emirate does not stand against one country for the sake of friendship or opposition to another and wants to have balanced relations with the world.
He also expressed commitment to the Helmand water agreement with Iran, noting that regardless of whether a formal agreement exists, water should be released to Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan region as part of their responsibility.
