KABUL: The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said in a statement to Radio Omid today that the construction work on two water supply networks worth 6.3 million Afghanis (some 91 US dollars) has been started in Laghman province.
The networks will be constructed in the Alishing and Dawlat Shah districts of Laghman province, the statement said.
With the completion of the projects safe drinking water will be provided for 450 families.
Efforts are underway by the government and non-governmental organizations to provide people with safe drinking water across the country.
