KABUL: The acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, participated in the 51st meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers in Istanbul, Turkiye, the ministry said in a statement on Saturday.
According to the statement, on the sidelines of the meeting, Minister Muttaqi, will also hold meetings with the foreign ministers of several participating countries.
The 51st meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers was held in Istanbul city of Türkiye, bringing together top diplomats from member states to discuss key issues facing the Islamic world.
The gathering focused on strengthening unity among Muslim nations, addressing ongoing humanitarian crises, boosting economic cooperation, and enhancing the OIC’s role in promoting peace and development.
