Bangladeshi Company seeks to invest in solar energy in Afghanistan

KABUL: The Ministry of Water and Energy has announced that the Bangladeshi company BPTL has expressed interest in investing in solar energy production in Afghanistan, with plans to generate between 100 to 1,000 megawatts of solar power.
In a meeting with the head of the Investment Promotion Department, Mawlavi Rahmatullah Rahmani, the chairman of BPTL, Mohammad Ishaq Abulkhair, stated that they seek collaboration for investment in solar energy projects in Afghanistan.
According to the ministry’s statement, Rahmani welcomed the company’s interest in solar energy projects and assured them of full cooperation in this regard.
Rahmani emphasized that all investors should take advantage of this opportunity to invest in water and energy projects in Afghanistan.
