Power supply project worth over $40 million signed

KABUL: Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat said in a statement today that several power supply projects worth $41 million have been signed in Herat province.

According to the statement, the contracts include the transmission of a 220 kV power line from the Noor al-Jihad substation in Herat to Pul Hashimi, and from there to the substation known as Shaheed 24 Hoot. Additionally, the construction of substations in the areas called Pul Hashimi and Shaheed 24 Hoot, along with the development of Line B at the Noor al-Jihad substation, are also part of the signed agreements.

The contracts were signed by Dr. Abdul Bari Omar, the CEO of Breshna, and officials from the “Zazo Afghanistan” and “Kabul National” companies.

The project’s completion is expected to expand the electricity transmission and distribution network in Herat province.

Breshna officials have previously announced plans to enhance electrification in 50 districts across the country this year.
