KABUL: Mullah Hedayatullah Badri, the Minister of Mines and Petroleum, met with the Iranian ambassador, Ali Reza Bigkdeli, to discuss various issues.
According to a statement from the Ministry, both sides talked about the development of economic cooperation and strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in the areas of oil and gas exploration, extraction, and investment in mineral resources.
The Ministry’s statement noted that the Iranian ambassador described the complete security and rich mineral resources in Afghanistan as a good opportunity for expanding bilateral cooperation.
He also requested the sharing of experiences and joint efforts from Iranian companies in the mining sector.
On the other hand, Mullah Hedayatullah Badri welcomed the interest of Iranian companies in investing in the mining sector and expressed his commitment to necessary cooperation.
