KABUL: Construction work on five water supply projects worth 41 million Afghanis begins in Ghor to provide safe drinking water for 1,600 families in the province.
The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development in a statement on Wednesday told Radio Omid, that the networks will be built in the areas of Firozkoh, the provincial capital, as well as in the districts of Charsada, Murghab, and Dolina.
The project includes the construction of eight water reservoirs, installation of nearly 1,000 water taps, installation of 86 solar panels, and laying of 51,487 meters of piping.
It is expected that the implementation of these public welfare projects will also create job opportunities for dozens of individuals.
