KABUL: On the last day of his visit to Turkmenistan, the Acting Foreign Affairs Minister, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, met with the president of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, Deputy spokesman of the ministry Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal said in a statement.
According to the Deputy spokesman, in the meeting, Minister Muttaqi, presented information to Turkmenistan’s president regarding security, stability, investment and transit in Afghanistan.
Minister Muttaqi expressed gratitude to President Berdimuhamedow for his special attention in cooperation and fostering strong relations with Afghanistan, said Takal.
Meanwhile, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, the national leader of Turkmenistan, has stated that he has complete confidence in Afghanistan.
He emphasized that he is giving special attention to the transmission of gas and electricity to Afghanistan and is committed to making efforts in the development of railway lines as well.
The national leader of Turkmenistan called important the exhibition of Afghan products, which is scheduled to be held coming next week.
It’s worth noting, that for past four days, a joint delegation from Afghanistan led by Mawlavi Amir Khan Mutaqi, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, has been visiting Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, upon the invitation of Turkmenistan.
During their stay in Turkmenistan the delegation has had multiple meetings with the officials of that country, as well as Afghan living in that country.
