KABUL: Cenak Ünal, the Turkish Ambassador to Afghanistan, has invited Nooruddin Azizi, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, to participate in the fifth meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) ministers.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce said in a statement on Sunday night about the meeting between Ambassador Ünal and Minister Azizi, during which the invitation to the meeting was delivered.
According to the Ministry, the fifth ECO ministers’ meeting is scheduled to take place from November 24 to 26 in Istanbul, Turkey.
The Turkish ambassador also invited Minister Azizi to attend the “Halal 2025” exhibition, which will be held in Istanbul from November 27 to 30.
The statement noted that during the meeting, discussions were held on enhancing bilateral trade, facilitating transit, and attracting foreign investments in Afghanistan.
Turkey has been one of the countries maintaining close and extensive political and economic relations with Afghanistan for over four years.
