Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar: Afghanistan will become an electricity-exporting country soon

KABUL: Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, stated during the inauguration of the “Parande” electricity dam in Panjshir province that this project represents another important step toward a brighter future for the country.
According to Radio Omid correspondent, speaking in the ceremony, Mullah Baradar mentioned that the project’s development has been advanced with special attention since the establishment of the Islamic Emirate and is now ready for successful operation.
Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar emphasized, “This project is not only significant for electricity production but will also contribute substantially to increasing state revenues each year.”
He stressed that the Islamic Emirate has practical programs for Afghanistan’s development, highlighting that these are not merely slogans but a tangible reality.
Reports indicate that the facility was built at a cost of $7.6 million, and with its activation, it will significantly meet the electricity needs of the province.
