KABUL: As a result of a traffic accident at least three members of a family lost their lives and five others were injured, officials confirmed.
Bilal Uruzgani, spokesperson for the Uruzgan Police Command, told Omid Radio that the incident occurred this morning, when a cargo vehicle veered off the road and fell.
The police spokesperson emphasized that the incident took place on the road between the districts of Chenarto and Khas Uruzgan. He added that women and children are among the fatalities.
Factors such as the poor condition of some rural roads, driver negligence, and the lack of traffic signage in the area are cited as reasons for such accidents.
