Conference titled “Economic Cooperation, Stability, and Assurance” held in Kabul

KABUL: A press conference titled “Economic Cooperation, Stability, and Assurance” has been organized in Kabul in collaboration with the “Sahar Talks Center” and the Chinese company CAPEIC.

According to Fazl Rahman Oriya, chairman of the Sahar Talks Center, the objective of the conference was to address existing issues between Afghanistan and China, initiate discussions between the government and companies, and restore a climate of trust.

He presented practical measures for expanding cooperation, including the signing of transparent and quality contracts, the establishment of a joint committee involving relevant agencies and specialists, and ensuring transparent and accountable management of projects.

This occurs at a time when the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has officially canceled a 25-year agreement with the Chinese company Xinjiang Central Asia Petroleum and Gas Co. (CAPEIC) regarding oil exploration and extraction in the Amu River basin.
