KABUL: Dr. Sayed Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of Iran, stated that we must acknowledge that the current government (the Islamic Emirate) is the present reality in Afghanistan.
According to the Iranian state news agency IRNA, on Saturday night, he made these remarks during a meeting at the “Migimo” University in Russia.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also discussed challenges such as “security, borders, water, narcotics, and migration” in the relations between Afghanistan and Iran, emphasizing the need for dialogue between Kabul and Tehran to manage these issues.
He added that the interests of the peoples of Afghanistan and Iran can be secured through these discussions.
Araghchi reiterated Iran’s commitment to continue dialogue with the current government of Afghanistan.
While stating that the Islamic Emirate is the current reality in Afghanistan, it is noteworthy that over the past four years, there has been significant political, economic, and commercial interaction between Kabul and Tehran.
This relationship continues to grow and strengthen with each passing day.
