KABUL: Police forces in Sar-e-Pul province rescued two kidnapped children from kidnappers and returned them to their families.
The Sar-e-Pul Police Media Office said in a statement this morning that the operation to free the children was conducted overnight, led by Mawlavi Abdul Basir Mahzari, the police chief of the province. Both children were rescued around midnight from the vicinity of the Qazi Kinti village in the center of Sar-e-Pul province and two kidnappers were arrested.
According to the statement, the children were rescued just 11 hours after they had been abducted.
The statement stated: “The Sar-e-Pul security police, under the umbrella of the Islamic system, is committed to preventing anyone from harming the lives, dignity, and security of the people.”
It is noteworthy that over the past four years, the country’s defense and security forces have shown no mercy towards kidnapper groups, actively dismantling them.
