India denies claims of trade suspension between Kabul and Delhi

KABUL: The Indian government has dismissed claims made by some social media users in Pakistan regarding the suspension of trade between Afghanistan and India as incorrect and untrue.
According to a report by the reputable Indian newspaper Business Standard, the Indian government’s statement department stated that such claims are part of a propaganda campaign by Pakistani accounts and are not based on reality.
The report noted: “A fake letter circulated by Pakistani propaganda accounts falsely alleges that India has temporarily suspended its trade operations with Afghanistan due to increased unrest in Iran.”
The Indian media outlet also highlighted that, in 2025, Afghanistan imported goods worth $318.9 million from India and exported goods worth $689.81 million to the country.
