DOHA: Mohammad Suhail Shaheen, Afghanistan’s Ambassador to Qatar, participated in and delivered a speech at the annual meeting of the Global Business Hub company, held in Doha.
In a statement released Tuesday night, the Afghan Embassy in Qatar said Ambassador Shaheen called on participants to invest in opportunities available in Afghanistan, including the mining, agriculture, tourism, construction, and other economic sectors.
Shaheen stated that Afghanistan currently offers broad and secure opportunities for investment. According to the statement, the meeting was organized to discuss the company’s future outlook, cooperation, and international business opportunities, and was attended by several ambassadors, shareholders, investors, and representatives of various Qatari government institutions.
The Afghan diplomat emphasized that investments in Afghanistan are currently exempt from taxation.
It is worth noting that over the past more than four years, the Islamic Emirate has provided nationwide security, creating wide-ranging investment opportunities for both domestic and foreign investors.
