Afghan and Indonesian diplomats meet to strengthen Kabul-Jakarta relations

JAKARTA: Mawlavi Sadullah Baluch, the acting ambassador of Afghanistan in Indonesia, met with Ricky Ihsan, Head of the Central Asia and East Asia Division in the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to a statement from the Afghan Embassy in Indonesia on Wednesday, during the meeting, the Afghan ambassador and the head of the Central Asia and East Asia Division emphasized the importance of friendly relations based on mutual respect.

They discussed ways to expand, strengthen, and enhance cooperation and bilateral relations between Kabul and Jakarta.

The statement noted that discussions were held regarding organizing meetings and visits of high-ranking officials from both countries to enhance coordination and solidify relations.

The two sides also talked about encouraging investment in Afghanistan, emphasizing the importance of creating a favorable environment and facilities in this regard, along with economic cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, Afghan and Indonesian diplomats agreed to continue maintaining contacts and collaborations.

Indonesia, located in Southeast Asia, has the largest Muslim population in the world.
