KABUL: The Belarusian Ambassador Alexander Sierguyevich for Tashkent, met with Abdul Ghafar Bahar, the ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, along with embassy officials.
The Afghan embassy in Uzbekistan reported that both sides discussed the development of friendly relations and political, economic, and diplomatic cooperation.
The Belarusian side proposed introducing a non-resident representative to Afghanistan, establishing a joint industrial working group, initiating a project for dry milk production in Termez, expanding cooperation in the health sector, and facilitating visa processes for Afghan traders.
According to the embassy’s statement, they also discussed enhancing consular cooperation and the potential involvement of Belarus in regional economic and transit projects, such as Afghan-Trans, TAPI, and CASA-1000.
Both sides emphasized that developing cooperation based on mutual trust could play a significant role in the economic growth and stability of the region.
