KABUL: Public approval of Donald Trump has dropped to 36%, its lowest level since his return to the White House about 15 months ago, according to a new poll by Reuters and Ipsos.
The survey found that declining support is largely driven by rising fuel prices and widespread dissatisfaction with the U.S. conflict involving Iran.
Only 25% of respondents said they approved of Trump’s handling of the cost of living, while 29% expressed support for his economic policies.
The poll, conducted among 1,272 U.S. adults, also highlighted concerns over the war, with 61% opposing it. Meanwhile, 46% said the conflict could make the United States somewhat safer.
Reuters noted that this marks the lowest approval level for Trump across both of his presidential terms.
The White House has not yet responded to the poll results.
