KABUL: Dr. Sayed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, said the United States has failed to achieve its war objectives in Iran, including attempts to topple the government.
Speaking to state television, Araghchi said Iran’s current policy is focused on “continued resistance and defense,” adding that there are no plans for negotiations with Washington.
He noted that while messages have been exchanged through intermediaries, they cannot be considered formal talks.
Araghchi also said Iran’s deterrence capabilities in the region have created a situation where no side is willing to engage in direct conflict with the country.
His remarks come as tensions remain high following weeks of conflict between the two countries.
