KABUL: Iran’s armed forces say retaliatory attacks are underway targeting U.S. and Israeli-linked infrastructure across the region following recent strikes on Iranian facilities.
Sayed Majid Mousavi, commander of the aerospace division of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said in a statement on Sunday that multiple industrial sites have been hit.
According to him, targets include the Neot Hovav chemical complex in Israel, as well as a refinery, two steel plants, and two large aluminum facilities.
Separately, Tasnim News Agency reported that U.S. targets in Kuwait, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and Iraq have also come under missile and drone attacks.
Mousavi said the strikes would continue, describing them as a response to recent attacks on Iran’s steel plants, energy infrastructure, and nuclear facilities.
There has been no immediate confirmation from U.S. or Israeli officials regarding the reported attacks.
