KABUL: Minister of Public Health, Noor Jalal Jalali, during his trip to Samangan, laid the foundation stone for the district-level public hospital in Hazrat Sultan district of the province.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Public Health, the hospital is being built at 64 million Afghanis and would be an important step toward expanding health services at the district level, addressing people’s problems, and improving access to standardized treatment.
During the visit, Jalali said that among the hospitals being built across 318 districts using the Islamic Emirate’s domestic budget, the procurement and related preparations for 56 hospitals have been completed, and that within the current year 1405, work on 100 more hospitals will also begin.
He added that the hospitals will include departments such as general surgery, internal medicine, gynecology and obstetrics, children’s care, and several other sections.
Once completed, they are expected to reduce patient congestion in provincial hospitals and provide people with quality health services in their districts.
