KABUL: The Deputy Minister for Publications Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Culture has condemned Pakistan’s military strikes on Afghan territory, describing them as an attempt to undermine the achievements and activities of the Islamic Emirate.
Speaking at a journalists’ capacity-building seminar in Parwan province, Mawlavi Hayatullah Muhajir Farahi stated that Islamabad was seeking to create challenges for the Afghan government through such military actions.
He warned that the Islamic Emirate would respond to the attacks at the “right time.”
Farahi’s remarks come after reported Pakistani airstrikes overnight targeted areas in the provinces of Paktia, Paktika, and Kunar. According to officials of the Islamic Emirate, the strikes resulted in the martyrdom of 36 civilians, including women and children, and injured another 163 people.
