TEHRAN: Iranian media have reported explosions in five cities across the country as the United States launched a new wave of military strikes against targets in Iran.
According to Tasnim News Agency, on Monday, explosions were heard in the northwestern city of Tabriz, the southeastern coastal cities of Chabahar and Konarak, as well as in the southwestern ports of Mahshahr and Bandar Imam Khomeini.
The report said the blasts occurred in northwestern, southeastern, and southwestern Iran, but no information has yet been released regarding possible casualties or damage.
The reports emerged shortly after the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the start of a new wave of strikes targeting sites inside Iran.
