Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia; Kuwait pledges full support for Riyadh

KABUL: Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned recent missile and drone attacks by Yemen’s Houthis against Saudi Arabia, saying Kuwait stands fully with Riyadh.

In a statement issued on Sunday morning, the ministry said the attacks on Riyadh and several other Saudi cities constituted a clear violation of the country’s sovereignty and international law and threatened regional stability.

According to the ministry, the Houthis attempted to target the Saudi capital, Riyadh, with a ballistic missile, but Saudi air defense forces intercepted and thwarted the attack.

Kuwait said Saudi Arabia’s security and stability are important to the security of the region and pledged to continue providing all forms of cooperation and support to Riyadh in this regard.
