KABUL: Fresh efforts are underway to end the seven-month war between the United States and Iran.
Reuters reported that U.S. and Iranian officials held separate talks with mediators on Monday.
The next round of negotiations is expected to focus on a revised Iranian proposal for a seven-day ceasefire.
According to the report, the proposal includes ending the war in Iran and Lebanon, releasing Iran’s frozen assets, and lifting sanctions on Iranian oil.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran is waiting for Washington’s response to its latest ceasefire proposals.
