KABUL: The High Court of Pakistan’s Sindh province has ruled that Afghan students enrolled in medical programs should be allowed to return to their classes and continue their studies without disruption until the court’s next hearing.
The decision came after the Pakistan Medical Council directed universities to facilitate the return of Afghan medical students to their classrooms.
The students’ lawyer said the court’s interim protective order remains in effect, allowing the students to continue their education and preventing them from being evicted from university hostels.
The ruling comes as some Afghan medical students in Pakistan have faced uncertainty over their legal status and ability to continue their studies.
