KABUL: A two-member delegation from Afghanistan’s Standards and Quality Authority has arrived in Kazan, Russia, to participate in the annual general meeting of the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC).
The authority said the delegation includes its technical deputy, Mawlavi Mohammad Asif Qanit, and head of its office, Mawlavi Wahid Ahmad Badri.
The meeting is scheduled to take place from October 26 to 28, 2026 and discussions will cover annual activities, the budget, long-term strategy, and ways to expand technical cooperation among member countries.
The Standards and Quality Authority said Afghanistan’s participation aims to strengthen professional cooperation and benefit from international experience.
