KABUL: The Organization of Turkic States (OTS), in a joint declaration issued at its 13th summit, reaffirmed its commitment to continued efforts to promote stability and sustainable development in Afghanistan, Turkish media have reported.
According to the reports, the organization said it was closely monitoring the situation in Afghanistan.
The joint declaration said member states had agreed to continue their joint efforts to promote stability in Afghanistan through existing mechanisms, including a special working group.
The declaration also highlighted the importance of the Trans-Afghan Railway project, describing it as a key initiative for strengthening connectivity between Central and South Asia.
The 13th summit of the Organization of Turkic States was hosted by Türkiye in the capital, Ankara.
