KABUL: Sigvald Tomann Haug, the newly appointed chargé d’affaires of the Royal Norwegian Embassy to Afghanistan, has met with Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the two sides discussed the historical relations between Afghanistan and Norway and ways to expand bilateral cooperation.
According to the statement, Muttaqi wished the newly appointed diplomat success in his mission and assured him of the ministry’s full cooperation.
Meanwhile, the Norwegian chargé d’affaires thanked Afghanistan for its hospitality and cooperation and praised the Islamic Emirate’s achievements in security, counter-narcotics efforts and economic stability.
