KABUL: Following the attacks on Muslims and their religious sites in India, Munir Akram, the Pakistani representative at the UN General Assembly meeting, has urged the organization to protect the religious sites of Muslims in India.
The Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations, referring to recent military actions by India near its borders, stated that state-sponsored terrorism is not limited to Pakistan alone but may also exist in other countries, including Canada and the United States.
Apparently, this Pakistani diplomat pointed to the killing of a prominent critic of the Indian government who was recently assassinated in Canada.
The Canadian government considered the accident to be the work of the Indian government, and that’s why the relations between the two countries were strained.
Pakistan and India are neighboring countries that have had border disputes for years.
The Pakistani diplomat at the United Nations has called for the protection of religious sites in India at a time when Muslims and their religious sites have recently come under attack in that country.
Recently, a line of worshipers in India was attacked, and the Prime Minister of the country converted a famous and historic mosque of Muslims into a temple.
