Girls’ school building inaugurated in Badakhshan

KABUL: The officials of the Education Department in Badakhshan province said that the construction of a girls’ school building worth $300,000 has been completed and inaugurated today.

According to the Education Department, the school building of “Jamarj” has been built in the Maiami district of Badakhshan province, with the financial support of the “Petrib” German organization and the Agha Khan Foundation.

The school has 13 classrooms and is built on an area of four jeribs (approximately 0.5 acres) of land. With the completion of the school, the educational needs of around 560 students have been addressed.
