KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, in a meeting with a number of dry fruits traders, said that neighboring countries should stop creating problems for Afghan traders, according to a statement from Arg on Thursday.
In the meeting, sharing their concerns with the deputy PM, they said that the additional taxes imposed by Pakistan’s government have caused significant challenges for Afghan dried fruit exporters.
The Afghan traders emphasized that with the facilitation provided by the Islamic Emirate over the past three years, exports of dried fruits to India and the United Arab Emirates have increased, with hundreds of tons being exported monthly, the statement added.
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Mawlavi Abdul Kabir stated that neighboring countries must stop creating problems for Afghan traders and provide the necessary facilities for the growth of bilateral trade.
