KABUL: The Afghanistan Technical and Vocational Education Training Authority (ATVET-A) has signed Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with 20 non-governmental organizations valued at $1.8 million.
The MoUs were signed today (Tuesday, December 17) during a press conference held at the Government Media Center, between the officials of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority and representatives of the non-Emirati organizations.
Speaking in the ceremony, Mawlavi Fazl-ur-Rahman Fazil, the Finance and Administrative Deputy of the ATVET-A, stated that the total value of the MoUs reaches $2.5 million, which will be signed with 25 non-Emirati organizations.
During today’s conference, 20 agreements worth $1.8 million were finalized, he said, adding that the MoUs were signed with the financial support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
“Through the agreements food security for families, creating employment through vocational skills, improving the livelihoods of vulnerable populations, and establishing sustainable job opportunities for youth in Bamyan, Daikundi, Kandahar, Helmand, and Khost provinces will be provided within the next five months,” he said.
