KABUL: Turkey’s Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said that 76 people have died in the fire at the Grand Kartal Hotel, with 52 bodies identified so far.

He noted that there were 238 guests in the hotel at the time of the incident.

The country’s Health Minister stated that among the 51 injured, one person’s condition is critical, while 17 others have been discharged after receiving treatment.

The cause of the fire, which occurred yesterday, has not yet been determined.
