KABUL: Spokesman of the Ministry of Public Works Mohammad Ashraf Haqshenas, has said that due to heavy snowfall, Salang Highway has been closed.
The highway has been closed to all traffic since last night, he said, adding that the staff of the Salang Maintenance and Monitoring Directorate are working to reopen the highway as soon as weather conditions improve.
It is worth noting that the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy snowfall in several provinces across the country.
