Intensified conflict between Houthi forces and U.S.; Pentagon Warship targeted in Red Sea

Houthis respond to Trump’s airstrikes with ballistic missile attacks on U.S. warship
KABUL: Spokesman of the Yemen Houthi forces said on Sunday that they targeted the U.S. warship “USS Harry Truman” with ballistic missiles and drones in the Red Sea.
Meanwhile, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of the Houthi movement, has called U.S. airstrikes on Yemen as “war crimes,” stating that as long as these attacks continue, American ships will not be safe in the Red Sea.
On the other hand, the Russian government has urged the U.S. to cease its attacks against Houthi forces in Yemen.
According to the reports, the U.S. warplanes have bombed Houthi targets in Sana’a and its outskirts for the second consecutive night.
The U.S. Department of Defense stated that the attacks represent the largest military action taken by the United States in the Middle East since the new administration led by Donald Trump took office.
In the attacks, 53 people were killed, and dozens of others were injured.
