Construction work on two water supply networks kicks off in Kapisa and Farah

KABUL: Construction work on two water supply networks worth 11.9 million Afghanis (some 167,195 US Dollars) has been kicked off in Farah and Kapisa provinces, the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said in separate statements.

According to the statement, the projects will be constructed with the financial support of the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) in the Farah and Kapisa provinces.

A water supply network worth 5 million Afghanis will be built in Nejrab district, Kapisa province, said the statement adding, that another water supply network worth 6.9 million Afghanis will be built in Kansak village of Bala Blok district, Farah province.

With the implementation of these projects, the access of more than 800 families to safe drinking water will be facilitated.
