JALALABAD: Cash assistance has been distributed to the families of the martyrs and wounded of the storm and flood in Nangarhar province, the governor’s press office said in a statement on Wednesday.
According to the statement, 100,000 Afghanis were provided to each of the 52 families of the martyrs, and 50,000 Afghanis were provided to each of the 76 wounded families of the incident.
The assistance was distributed in the presence of Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, the acting Minister for Disaster Management, and provincial officials of Nangarhar.
Turabi also conveyed the message of Esteemed Amir-ul-Momineen, to the families of the victims of the recent storm and flood in Nangarhar province.
The devastating storm and flood this week in Nangarhar province have destroyed hundreds of homes, martyred 52 people, and wounded hundreds of others.
