Over 100 drug addicts rejoined family after treatment

KABUL: As many as 113 drug addicts have been discharged from the supportive center of the Omid (Hope) Camp after completing a treatment period, the Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement today.

The recovered addicts were handed over to their families by the assigned committee, said the statement adding 152 other addicts have been transferred to this center for treatment.

The addicts were rounded up from different provinces of the country by the police, said the statement.

The supportive Hope Camp center was established with a capacity of 2,000 beds for the purpose of treating addicts.
