KABUL: The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate has ordered the Ministry of Interior Affairs to arrest those responsible for traffic accidents on the country’s highways and hand them over to the relevant courts under all circumstances.
According to a five-article decree published by the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has also been instructed to fully cooperate with the Ministry of Interior in identifying and arresting those responsible for traffic accidents and collecting relevant information and evidence.
The decree further requires courts to prioritize cases related to traffic accidents and ensure the rights of the victims’ heirs are protected.
Under Article 5 of the decree, the order takes effect from the date of its issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
