Russia, Iran signs agreement to jointly fight Western sanctions

KABUL: Russia and Iran have signed an agreement to cooperate jointly in combating Western sanctions.

Under the agreement, both countries will continue their collaborations across various sectors, including trade, military cooperation, and scientific, educational, and cultural fields.

According to the officials, the validity period of this agreement is twenty years, with plans to extend it into the coming years.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian, who jointly signed the agreement in the Kremlin, described it as a new chapter in their relations.
