KABUL: Russian President Vladimir Putin, to meet with Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, the Sultan of Oman, for the first time, at the Kremlin in Moscow today.
The Russian State-Run TASS news agency reported that this is the first trip of Sultan Al Said’s to Russia since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The Kremlin has announced that the leaders will discuss topics, including economic, financial, cultural issues, and significant international matters.
It is expected that 10 agreements will be signed during this meeting.
Notably, the Sultan’s trip coincides with the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Moscow and Muscat.
