Canada condemns Israeli regime’s use of Gaza’s hunger as political tool

KABUL: Anita Anand, Canada’s new Foreign Minister, has condemned the Israeli regime’s ongoing use of the suffering of the people in Gaza as a political tool in her first statement since taking office.

According to Turkey’s Anadolu Agency on Wednesday, Anand stated that Canada cannot allow the Israeli regime to use food as a political weapon, calling it unacceptable.

“We must continue efforts for a ceasefire and ensure the realization of a two-state solution,” he said.

The Council of Canadian Muslims described the minister’s stance as significant and urged Ottawa to move from statements to actionable steps.

Anita Anand was appointed as Canada’s Foreign Minister on Tuesday of this week and subsequently took the oath of loyalty.
