KABUL: Afghanistan’s Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation says 185 transport companies gained licenses over the past year (1404 solar year), reflecting efforts to improve transport services across the country.
According to the ministry’s statement, 115 of the newly registered companies operate in cargo transport, while 70 operate in passenger services.
The ministry added that around 900 transport companies are now active nationwide in both passenger and freight sectors.
Officials say the expansion is part of broader efforts to enhance service delivery and support the country’s transport infrastructure.
