KABUL: Masoud Pezeshkian, president of Iran, has warned regional countries not to allow their territory to be used for attacks against Iran.
In a message posted on X, Pezeshkian said countries seeking stability and development should prevent what he described as Iran’s “enemies” from operating from their soil.
He also cautioned that any strike on Iran’s infrastructure or economic facilities would be met with a strong response.
“Iran does not initiate attacks,” he said, “but will respond decisively if its vital facilities are targeted.”
The remarks come a day after reported strikes by the United States and Israel on Iranian steel plants, a power station, and nuclear sites.
