KABUL: The Yemeni Armed Forces, in their latest stance on developments in the Middle East, warned that if U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran and the “Axis of Resistance” intensify, they are ready to pull the trigger and carry out direct military intervention.
Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, made the remarks in a video statement on Friday night.
In a five-point statement, the Yemeni Armed Forces said their military presence on the battlefield will be certain if any new coalition joins the U.S. and Israel against Iran or if the Red Sea is used against Tehran and other Islamic countries.
Points two and three of the statement stress the necessity of stopping attacks on “Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, and Iraq” and call for adherence to the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
The concluding section of the statement says: “We emphasize that our military operations are aimed at the Israeli and American enemy to foil the Zionist plan and do not target any Muslim nation.”
According to the Yemeni Armed Forces, the “unjust and brutal aggression” against Iran and Axis of Resistance countries is unjustifiable and harms regional and global stability, security, and the global economy.
This Yemeni position comes as Iranian officials have earlier warned that continued U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran’s infrastructure would widen the conflict across the region.
