Trump calls Cuba “failing state,” predicts collapse

KABUL: U.S. President Donald Trump has described Cuba as a “failing and chaotic” country, predicting it could soon face economic and political collapse.
Speaking in response to a media question, Trump said the island nation may “fall in the near future” and added that the United States would be ready to assist if needed.
He also emphasized that Washington would continue supporting Cuban-Americans.
The remarks come as Cuba grapples with ongoing economic difficulties and political pressures, an issue that remains closely watched by international observers and the Cuban diaspora.
