Possible resumption of U.S.–Iran talks after failed Islamabad round, Reuters

KABUL: Negotiations between the United States and Iran may resume after the latest round of talks hosted in Islamabad ended without agreement, according to a report by Reuters.
Despite the lack of a breakthrough, both sides have reportedly left the door open for continued engagement. Indirect contacts are said to be ongoing, with Pakistan continuing to act as a mediator and relay messages between the two sides.
The development suggests that, despite deep disagreements, diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions and potentially reach an agreement remain alive.
Separately, U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that Iranian officials have reached out regarding a possible deal, though Tehran has not issued any official confirmation.
